TOOL 5 – RESM Props

You know your allies. Now, what do you say to them?

The previous tools gave you the evidence (Tools 1-3) and helped you identify who to work with (Tool 4). This tool puts words to your advocacy. It gives you messages grounded in RESM research, a framework to build your own, and templates you can adapt straight away.

A quick reminder of the core tensions the research revealed. The European Sport Model promises solidarity, but UEFA redistributes only 0.2% of its revenue to grassroots. Clubs pay 13% of their budgets to federations and receive 2% back. Meanwhile, with 88% of Europeans outside sports clubs, the Eurobarometer data suggest that organised club sport represents only a small part of how physical activity is practised across Europe. These are not opinions. They are findings from the Desk Research and the 14 case studies across 8 countries.
