Topic Progress:

Build your map of stakeholders

Create your advocacy content

Based on Icehearts Finland as well as the pilots experience these are the key messages that worked best based on the type of stakeholders:

We got some action points for you as we believe you are ready to go to the next phase of development.

  • From your mapping, select the stakeholder you would like and/or need to enrol in your Implementation.
  • Plan your 3-minute pitch to your stakeholder. Create a PPT or Canva template if this may support you. It can also be done on paper.

Get people together around the table – create your network of stakeholder

All pilot countries have acknowledged the importance of maintaining good relationships with supporting stakeholders. This must go beyond the initial contacts and gaining permission or tacit or expressed support but must be ongoing with stakeholders appraised of the programme as it rolls out, taking part in (or being consulted about) key decisions and included in the final assessment at the end.

You can explore different roads based on your context and culture. What matters is that you strategically and intentionally choose your settings for this network of stakeholders. What form will it take? What will be the means to gather them and involve them in the process?

As you’ve heard from Icehearts Europe pilot implementers, some have created a steering committee, while others have organised a national stakeholders workshop. What matters is that the stakeholders involved see and feel the value in joining the process and on the other hand that it serves your advancement of the intervention.
