GET READY FOR GRASSROOTS ESPORTS
Since the beginning of the development of games, people have used gaming to create new digital communities and engage in activities on platforms. Esports originates from gaming and stands for electronic sports. However, it is not directly comparable to traditional sports, as we know them. In addition, Esports and gaming are two terms often used interchangeably. While crossover exists between the two, there are fundamental differences that everyone should know.
We believe that gaming and esports can be community-building and socially inclusive when conducted in organized contexts. We hope you share this belief as well. Therefore, we look forward to inviting you to join us on the journey as we explore the concept behind European Grassroots Esports.
