Understanding your organisation and its needs
In this module you will have an opportunity to explore the actual needs of your grassroots club which might be solved by a digital solution.
Making organisational changes is hard, but you’re more likely to succeed if you:
- Know why you want or need to change.
- Set realistic, measurable short- and long-term goals.
- Identify your barriers.
- Set up a support group and reward system.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The following pages will help you go through it.
TASK: Before you start we ask you to take time for yourself and maybe involve your team to define the purpose and scope of what you will want to address :
- Clearly articulate the reason for conducting the situation analysis (Topic 1) and needs assessment (Topic 2). Of course this shall all clarify how a digital solution can help your organisation address one pain paint. Your reason for bringing in the idea of digitalisation might be program improvement, resource allocation, or policy development for example.
This Module will help you to learn the following:
🔹 Analyse your grassroots club context using a SWOT framework
🔹 Assess the needs of the grassroots club which might be solved using a digital solution
🔹 Identify the one problem facing your grassroots club which can be solved with a digital solution
The aim of this module is thus to help you and your organisation narrow down your journey from a helicopter point of view to a very focused perspective.
