Plan for the roles and activities of the programme
Welcome to the “PLAN for the ROLES AND ACTIVITIES OF THE ORGANISATION” module. The Icehearts Europe pilot countries had spent six months preparing their Icehearts implementation programmes, with the Slovenian representative stating in her interview that “a year was required for a project such as this”.
Therefore, of first advice at this stage of the online training is that it is ok and understandable if you feel overwhelmed! Just keep in mind that what you are doing is for the kids and consider that you are entering a marathon and not a sprint race.
When adopting and implementing the Icehearts Europe model, grassroots sports organisations are responsible for planning the activities of the intervention and must consider the context in which they operate, the financial and human resources available, the administrative and logistical aspects, and the reference regulatory system.
This module is designed to guide you through the essential steps of planning and organising the roles and activities within the Icehearts Europe model.
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Prepare and set the stage for the Icehearts Europe intervention programme.
- Recruit and select suitable mentors for the programme.
- Identify beneficiaries, select the kids, and build Icehearts Europe teams.
- Develop a comprehensive course of action for the next six months through a practical exercise.
