Maureen is a Sports and Development Specialist, A social and sport entrepreneur . She joined the SEED Project as Program Director to play a key role in the support, management, development, growth, promotion, implementation, and monitoring of SEED programming in Senegal and Africa.Founded in 1998 the SEED Project (Sports for Education and Economic Development) is a 501 (c) 3 American NGO based in Senegal , that uses basketball as a hook to engage more youth in education and leadership development programs. Our goal is to develop socially conscious leaders that have the tools to lead the African continent. SEED is a key partner of the NBA in Senegal-Africa. It most recently collaborated with the NBA in implementing the first NBA Academy facility in Africa. Before joining SEED , Maureen worked with several organisations operating in various sectors such as the Oil and Gas sector, educational sector, banking sector and with International NGOs . She therefore has several domains of practice in Human Resources Management, marketing, communications, sports administration and non-profit management. She had worked with organisations such as the UN in Gabon, Gabon’s National Oil Company, The International School of Gabon, JTC Consulting, Cameroon’s Basketball Federation, The Regional Basketball league of Gabon. Just to name a few. Passionate about sport and social entrepreneurship, she founded the Apothecary by Neri in 2016 . Having practiced basketball herself as a teenager and at a competitive level in Cameroon, Gabon and the UK, Maureen is a strong believer in the power of sport in empowering youth and shaping communities positively. Maureen Rosita Holds a Bsc in Public Administrative Law from the University of Yaoundé 2 Cameroon, an MSc in International Business management from the University of Derby in the United Kingdom and is currently pursuing an MBA in sports management with the ISM-ESG Paris
