Gyöngyvér Lacza is a recreation expert and a physical education and English teacher with more than 20 years of teaching and management experience from the active leisure field. She has a MSc degree from the World Leisure Organization’s Centre of Excellence and a PhD in Recreation. Since 2002 she has been a lecturer at the University of Physical Education Budapest, Hungary and by now she has become the Head of Department of Recreation. Apart from her academic career she has been involved in a number of leisure research and development projects both on national and international level. Besides, she has been working at Develor, one of Hungary’s leading training and consulting company, developing and leading soft-skill trainings (team buildings, motivation and experiential learning sessions) for several years. She has a deep experience in organising mass leisure sport events. In 2019 she was the leader from the University side in the Budapest European Capital of Sport project. In 2023, based on the request of the state secretary in charge of active Hungary, Ms Lacza was asked to lead to preparation of Hungary’s first ever HEPA strategy, with the focus on active and healthy lifestyle with special focus on physical activity.
