Emma Jane joined is a Director working with Sport Ireland since 2004 where she joined initially as a Local Sports Partnership Manager. She has extensive experience overseeing the delivery of multi agency programmes in the non-governmental, public and private sector; She currently have direct responsibility for the portfolio of a range of units including Women in Sport, Older Adults, People with a disability, Outdoor Recreation, the national Sports Partnership network, Governance and Evaluation. All of which are focused on increasing participation in sport and physical activity in Ireland.

Emma Jane’s Particular expertise includes areas such as 

• developing and managing a diverse portfolio of national projects• devising, developing and implementing national and local strategic plans• expertise in the area of governance, with particular reference to the not for profit sector• extensive experience in strategy development, managing national relationships and financial budgeting and management• Knowledge of diverse funding streams, in both private and public sector funding sectors 

She joined Sport Ireland in 2004 after 5 years of working with the European Leader funded community and rural development company KELT, based in county Kildare, Ireland. Prior to this Emma Jane worked with a range of forestry companies in Scotland focusing particularly on development of local community and outdoor recreational facilities.

She has pursued postgraduate qualifications in governance and executive coaching, continuously working with people to assist them to develop and deliver to their fullest potential. In her spare time Emma Jane loves to horse ride, kayak and mountain bike. She also coaches in the equestrian sector.
